Third story

This was shared by a teacher from the kindergarten that Iworked at. Yes, the same one with the TV incident. This time, it happened at another bay- the one near principal's office.
A  new boy came to school on that the day. The nursery teacher took him into the classroom as he came later than the rest.
He was not crying when he by-pass the counter area before reaching the nursery classroom.
The moment he stepped in, he ran off. He ran to the counter and tried to pull open the main door to go out. The teacher tried to carry him in, thinking that it was probably Separation anxiety.
The second time that the boy entered the room, he was in tears and screaming " Don't want! Don't want!".  However, the teacher did not let go, and carried him on her lap while she began her lesson. The boy was restless and struggled for a while before losing strength.
He sat still, but grabbed her arm tightly, his eyes watching the metal shelf where students's portfolios were kept. When the lesson was over, the students went to the learning centers to play, while the boy sticked close to the teacher as she tidied the things near the whiteboard. The only time that he did not follow her was when she went to the shelf.
During dismissal time, two students were left with the teacher, one was the boy and the other was a girl who has been in school for about half a year. They sat at the counter with the teacher, which was situated outside the classroom.
"Teacher," the boy began, "who's that person sitting on top of the shelf?"
The teacher looked puzzled, "what person?"
"The girl with the very, very long hair,"  the other student pointed out,"always sit  there one."
"why never go home ah? " she asked.
Both  looked at the teacher, waiting for an answer.
The teacher stared at the metal shelf. There's absolutely nothing on top of the shelf.

Second story

This story happens in a childcare centre, I have heard it from the teachers in the childcare centre.
It happened in 2010, during a Chinese lesson.
The Chinese teacher was sitting on a moving office chair and going through some flash cards with the playgroup children (about 3 years old) Then, one girl started to scream and point : 'Got lion! Got lion!'
She was pointing at something behind the teacher. The teacher started to shift her chair, but she did not turn around. According to the Chinese teacher, she could feel something was behind her and started to feel scared. Then, she swirl her chair to the side that was back facing a clear bay window and she turned her head. She saw it.
It was a lion's head with a human's face.
The teacher freaked out and took all the children to the other classroom.
Both the little girl and the teacher were trembling and crying at the same time.
A few teachers went into the classroom but they did not see anything.
The playgroup teacher took things into the classroom, and she walked in and out twice, not seeing anything.
The third time that she entered, she screamed.
The principal went in and pulled her out, after hearing all the commotion. She too, saw it.
After leading the playgroup teacher out, she closed the door to the classroom.
The playgroup teacher was sick for a week and left the centre after she returned from her MC leave. She need not pay the school a month's pay although she did not give any notice.

I was using the same classroom. The first time that I entered the room, I saw papers with strange drawings in the room. But, I did not understand what it was about. After listening to the story, i became curious and my assistant teacher then informed me it was a Muslim amulet, to keep 'it' away.
I was working at the childcare centre for only 3 months, but it was tortuous, especially on Saturdays, when I was the first to reach the centre. The childcare centre was inside an office building and was silent (literally) on Saturdays . I had to play music loudly with my handphone to calm myself down and to announce my arrival.
The technique was useful, being polite was useful.

Preschool Unexplained Activities

Been in this line for a few years and has heard quite some stories from teachers, including one that I have sorta experienced it myself.

let's start with the one that I have experienced in 2009, I was a K1 teacher at that time and just joined the school for less than three months. Here's the layout of the classroom.
That was a rule that I did not know about and it has a link to this story that I am going to tell now.
It was already 6pm, I was supposed to knock off at 5pm, but since I had the key to my classroom, I was going to continue working on my learning centre. All the teachers and the cleaner have left the school. The principal was at her office in another bay (Under the same HDB void deck, but have to walk a bit to reach my bay.)
I have switched off the air-con when the students left at 5pm, thinking that I could finish my task quickly, however, I still took slightly more than 1 hour. Now, thinking back, it was quite strange for the room to remain cold after the air-con was switched off for 1 hour. When I was done, I went on to check whether the air-con in Music room was switch off, the taps in the children's washroom were turned off and the air con in the TV room was turned off. They were off, so I happily left the bay through the main door near my classroom (K1 classroom).

The next morning, the principal came into my classroom when I was about to start lesson. She asked me if I was the last person to leave my bay yesterday. My answer was yes. Then, she asked me why I did not switch off the television in the TV room, the volume was so loud that she could hear it from outside the school at about 6.30pm. She had to come in to turn it off.
Now, I was absolutely positive that the television was turned off when I left the school.
She even added that the TV was showing some old shows from Art central.
When the principal turned it off, the screen came on again, so she  had to unplugged the television before leaving quickly.
Suddenly, I felt so lucky that I left in time.
Oh, by the way, the rule that they forgot to tell me was: Leave the school before 6pm, 6pm is the 'change-shift' hour.
